Aline has been with Schuster Boyd McDonald since October 1999. Prior to joining our firm, she enjoyed a diverse career with a prominent accounting firm, specializing in year-end accounting and field audit work. As a member of a family business in the automotive industry, she was well known for her proficiency in performing a variety of functions including parts person, service writer, auto sales, and of course, accounting.

Our firm benefits from her extensive knowledge and experience. Aline works closely with our Group Division Third Party Administrators, overseeing our trust accounting. As well, she is part of the team processing "Flex Health Benefits" for Group clients and small business owners. Her accounting skills are excellent, as are her energy and dedication to the firm.

Charmaine Gazdic-Querney

Charmaine joined Schuster Boyd McDonald in 1998. As a senior benefits consultant her specialty is introducing and developing cost containment initiatives which allows clients to get more value for the dollars they invest in both salaries and benefits. Specifically concentrating on employee benefits programs Charmaine has acquired extensive experience in plan design, risk management, analysis of benefits costs and funding arrangements and renewal negotiation. In addition Charmaine assists clients in developing a strategic plan that carefully balances the benefits plan interests of both the employer and their employees. She also provides assistance with collective bargaining and employee benefits seminars.

Charmaine is currently the senior consultant for a number of mining sector groups throughout Canada and has been instrumental in reducing benefits premiums for a number of large social service groups throughout Northern Ontario. Understanding the challenges our community faces in attracting and retaining health care professionals, Charmaine was member of a "team of local professionals" who successfully organized a "Dr. Recruitment Weekend" which resulted in a number of health care professionals transferring to our Community. Charmaine is a well known speaker at industry events and provides extensive comment on changing demographics and employee retention.

Prior to joining the our team Charmaine was a senior manager for 20 years with one of Sudbury's most successful retail sporting goods stores and a  representative for one of Canada's National Buying Groups. Charmaine has extensive experience in the fields of customer service, marketing, and communications, contract negotiations and human development. Born and raised in Sudbury, Charmaine brings a wealth of personal and managerial experience to Schuster Boyd McDonald.

Charmaine currently is a Director on the Women in Mining Canada Board and the President of Women in Mining Northern Ontario. She also participates in a number of boards for community fund raising events.

Dan joined the firm as a full partner in 1991. Having over 20 years in various middle and upper management roles in both the public and private sectors, Dan understands the role of employee benefit and group savings plans in employee recruitment, retention and satisfaction. As Senior Financial Advisor and Mutual Fund Branch Manager, he is responsible for the Wealth Management Division of the firm including investment compliance and the implementation and monitoring of all group Capital Accumulation Plan guidelines introduced for all group savings plans in January 2005.  Dan is recognized in the insurance and investment field as a leader and works closely with key employees on customized executive compensation, risk management, personal savings and pension plans.

Diane has been with Schuster Boyd McDonald since 1990. She provides personalized service and advice to both personal and Group RRSP clients of the firm. Diane is bilingual in French and English. She provides advice on Life, Disability, and Critical Illness, Long Term Care, Health, Dental, and Travel Insurance products as well as Segregated Funds, and GICs.  In addition to dealing with her own clients, Diane provides additional bilingual support to all the firm’s clients and can be called upon to meet with any clients. Diane is also responsible for the day to day administration of two large Group RRSP accounts with assets in excess of $30 million.

Gisèle has been an employee with Schuster Boyd McDonald since 2004. Gisele is a graduate of Cambrian College and she has been in the financial industry for the last 29 years . Her many years of experience and knowledge enhances her ability to provide excellent client service in both French and English. She handles daily administrative duties for all of the advisors in the office as well as being the initial contact for the administration and service issues of all of our Group RRSP and Pension plans which includes acting as a liaison between the insurance carriers and clients. In her previous employment Gisèle was an issue clerk in the group pension department of a major international insurance company.

Born and raised in Northern Ontario and graduated from Laurentian University with an Honours B.A.  Joe joined the firm as a full partner in 1992 and is Group Practice Leader for Employee Benefits Consulting and Administration. Prior to joining the firm, Joe was a senior employee benefits manager with a national insurer, working at head office and then the field.  Joe provides advice and consulting services to public and private sector clients on plan design, cost containment, underwriting, administration collective bargaining and leading edge flexible benefits and health care spending accounts. Joe is recognized by industry insurance suppliers as a client advocate and lobbies extensively on behalf of clients.

Since joining Integrated Benefit Services (a division of Schuster Boyd McDonald) in 1995, Judy has played an integral role in overseeing its growth and development. Judy has specialized in the area of group benefits for over 19 years. Her many years of experience in the employee benefits field reflects her depth of knowledge and enhances her ability to assist clients with their benefits needs. She strives to ensure excellent customer service satisfaction. Judy is responsible for overseeing the day to day operation of the third party administration of employee benefits packages including maintaining accurate employee data, claim inquiries, monthly billings, the processing of renewal and benefits changes and premium remittance. Assisting clients in the area of disability claims and life claims as well as acting as a mediator between insurer and client is a key responsibility in claims management. Judy participates in coordinating comprehensive benefits packages for clients and through consistent communication with the client determines the suitability of the benefits plan design.

Judy is a graduate of Laurentian University with an Honors Degree in Physical Education. She is an active member of the community and volunteers in many local organizations. Judy is a member of the executive of our local recreation soccer club and has coached recreational soccer in the Sudbury area for the past twenty two years. Judy is an energetic person who takes pride in her commitment to her family, community and to her work.

Tracy has been a member of Schuster Boyd McDonald since February 2007. Tracy graduated with honors with a diploma in Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene. She is bilingual in French and English. Tracy has acquired a detailed and expansive knowledge of employee benefits programs through direct contact with employers, employees, insurance carriers and service providers. Prior to joining our firm Tracy provided administrative services for a major insurance company in Ontario. As a member of our team Tracy's responsibilities include but are not limited to fielding client inquiries concerning claims, billings, disability applications and general benefits issues. She works with insurers and providers contacts in order to obtain information and provide resolution to issues/problems. Tracy also produces accurate client billings, reviews and reconciles insurer billings and produces monthly premium payment to insurers.
