Ontario is one step closer to professionalizing financial advisors (Financial Advisors Act, 2014)
On March 20, 2014, Bill 157, the Financial Advisors Act, 2014, passed second reading after debate in the Ontario legislature. The bill aims to protect consumers by governing financial advisors regardless of the products they sell.
